The "House of the shepherd" on Herrenacker 20 was built as a residence in 1570 by Hans Oswald Huber (Alderman and member of the Merchants Guild in Schaffhausen).
Around 1600, the house became the property of family "Im Thurn". From the mid-18th century it was passed through marriage into the possession of family "Von Mandach".
For almost 200 years, the house was in the possession of 2 families who belonged to the Schaffhausen nobility.
From 1800 the ownership of the house changed frequently. 1817 Johann J. Flach - Dragoon Captain, 1826 John Ulmer - Nailsmith.
